Privacy policy

CryptoPriceRanks collects as little as it can: an email address if you ask for fee alerts, and the technical data any web server records. There are no advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Stanislav Dzhambazov, based in Bulgaria, who publishes this site (see About). For anything in this policy, including every request listed under “Your rights”, write to privacy@cryptopriceranks.com.
Fee alerts
When you subscribe to a fee alert we store your email address, the exchange, fee and coin you chose, the time you signed up, confirmed and (if you do) unsubscribed, and a random token used in your confirm and unsubscribe links.
- Double opt-in. Signing up sends one confirmation email. Nothing else is sent until you click the link in it. If you never click, we never email you again.
- Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every alert email; this does not affect emails already sent.
- What you receive: one email each time the figure you picked changes. Nothing else — no newsletters, no marketing, and your address is never sold or shared for marketing.
- Retention: an unconfirmed sign-up is deleted after 7 days. After you unsubscribe, the record is deleted after 30 days. An active alert is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Email delivery: Brevo
Alert and confirmation emails are delivered through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), which processes your email address and the message on our behalf as a data processor under a data processing agreement. Brevo stores data in the European Union. Its own policy is at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.
Server logs and cookies
Like any web server, ours records each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user-agent string. We use these logs only to keep the site running and to block abuse (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are deleted after 14 days.
The site sets two strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie and a security token that protects the alert form against cross-site request forgery. The session record on our server holds your IP address and user-agent string and expires after two hours of inactivity. No cookie is used for tracking, analytics or advertising, so no cookie consent is needed.
The site is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH on servers in Germany.
Links to exchanges
Some links to exchanges are referral links (see our affiliate disclosure). Following one takes you to the exchange's own site. We receive no personal data about you from that click; whatever the exchange collects is governed by its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- get a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access and portability);
- have it corrected if it is wrong;
- have it deleted — email us from the address concerned and we delete every alert tied to it;
- restrict or object to its processing;
- withdraw your consent to alerts at any time.
Send any request to privacy@cryptopriceranks.com. We answer within one month. You can also complain to the Bulgarian supervisory authority, the Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg), or to the authority in the EU country where you live.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not start using your email for anything other than the alerts you asked for without asking you first.
