How long do Solana memecoins survive?

Reviewed by Stanislav Dzhambazov · Updated 2 Oct 2026

We follow every Solana memecoin that migrates to a DEX pool with at least $500K market cap and $50K liquidity, and record when it dies. Here is the share still alive after one day, three days and a week.

Early data, wide intervals. Only 27 tokens have been followed for a full 7 days so far. The ranges below will narrow as the dataset grows.

Survival curve

Kaplan-Meier survival curve of tracked Solana memecoins, with 95% confidence band 0% 25% 50% 75% 100% 0h 2d 4d 6d 8d time since the token entered our dataset
All tokens (N=509) Market cap $500K–1M (N=393) Market cap $1M–3M (N=88) Shaded: 95% confidence band (all tokens). Each line stops where fewer than 20 tokens remain in risk.

The curve drops quickly on the first day and flattens afterwards. A token that has already lasted a few days has much better odds over the next week than a brand-new one, which is why our live table conditions on each token's current age.

“No data” means fewer than 30 tokens in the cohort or fewer than 20 still in risk at that horizon. Download the cohort table (CSV) — aggregates only, no per-token data.

Week by week

Survival of the tokens that entered in each week. A figure appears once at least 20 of that week's tokens are still in risk at the horizon.

Methodology

What counts as a token

Solana tokens that have left the launchpad bonding curve and trade in a PumpSwap, Raydium, Meteora or Orca pool against SOL or USDC, discovered with at least $500K market cap and $50K liquidity. Our collector polls each pool about every three minutes.

When a token dies

A token is counted as dead at the first of these:

Censoring

A token that is still alive when we stop watching it is counted as alive up to that moment and then leaves the sample — it is not counted as dead. That covers tokens still being tracked, tokens whose pool reached 14 days of age (our tracking limit), and tokens we stopped tracking during a data-feed outage. On four occasions before 2 October 2026 a failed request made our collector drop every tracked token at once (5 or more in the same minute); those tokens are censored at their last reading, not counted as dead. The collector was fixed on 2 October 2026. The Kaplan-Meier method uses each censored token for as long as we saw it.

Left truncation

Tokens enter the dataset no earlier than one hour after their pool opens. The model uses only tokens that entered within 24 hours of their pool opening (509 of 599); tokens found later had already survived for days and would make the curve look better than it is. Time is measured from the first reading.

Intervals and minimum sizes

The 95% intervals use Greenwood's variance on the log(−log) scale. A cohort needs 30 tokens, and a figure needs 20 tokens still in risk at that horizon; otherwise we fall back to a broader group or show “no data”.

Limitations

Only migrated Solana tokens above the size filters above; the data starts in August 2026, so it covers one market phase. “Dead” is a liquidity and price definition, not a judgement on the project. These figures use a stricter definition of death than dexlister.com/stats, which counts only drained or delisted pools, so the two will not match.
